The Go Daddy Group Inc., with its three subsidiary Internet domain name registrars, has surpassed the 9 million domain name mark, the company said Thursday.

Citing industry analyst Name Intelligence Inc., Go Daddy said the 9 million figure was achieved in just under five years, with the company selling its first domain name registration in November 2000.
The Go Daddy subsidiaries are flagship registrar GoDaddy.com, reseller registrar Wild West Domains, and membership-based registrar Blue Razor Domains.
“Having cultivated such a broad portfolio, we must remain diligent in all of our operations so as to maintain the portfolio and grow it further,” said Bob Parsons, founder and president of the Go Daddy Group. “We welcome the challenge and look forward to the 10 million domain name mark.”
